What is required is strategic application of knowledge and innovative use of available technology to provide governance services to all sections of the society. And the focus of electronic governance has to be on those who have mostly been marginalized of benefits of good governance.
The DigitalGovernance.org initiative aims to catalyse the process of participatory and good governance through the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). It envisages to explore, research and propagate simple to comprehensive ICT-enabled Governance Models, especially in developing countries.
Digital Governance is an OPEN initiative and seeks to pool in the intellectual knowledge and practical experience of all individuals to achieve its objectives. Over 2800 colleagues predominantly from developing countries are a part of this electronic governance network.
