This group is for MEN only.

It is for dads whose children were conceived by donor insemination. It is not intended for the donors, but rather for the men who are actually raising or have raised children conceived by DI. The group is also for men who are considering with their spouses using donor insemination to create their families and are looking for information and support.

The group's purpose is NOT to specifically advocate for DI nor is it to specifically advocate for openness / disclosure by parents to their children of their conception story. The views and statements made are those of the members themselves and not of the group as an entity.

It is asked that all members participate in the POLLS offered as it gives the group as a whole a current picture of the issues, the current mindset and status of the membership.

This group is a membership required group. As a membership required group the member dads are afforded some measure of privacy that their questions and posts are being viewed by dads like themselves thus allowing the dads to freely discuss the issues of concern to them. It is requested of all members that the privacy of the members be respected and not forward or copy e-mails / posts to individuals outside the membership unless it is appropriate to do so.

All individuals requesting membership are asked to describe their interest in the group and what brought them here. Membership requests with no such descriptive information will be denied. This information is only provided to the moderator(s) and not shared with the group unless the new member posts the information in the form of a group wide message.

The group was created by a former sperm donor who recognized and understood that there was a need to have a separate stand alone forum where the focus was issues and concerns of men considering DI and dads of DI conceived kids.
