Dharma Buddies is a Buddhist meditation and discussion group for gay, bisexual, and transgender men in the Seattle area. Buddhist women may want to check out the
Lotus Sisters group.
Dharma Buddies meets Sundays at 11:00 am for a 45-minute silent meditation followed by refreshments and conversation. Dharma Buddies meets at
Cal Anderson House, located at 400 Broadway on the northeast corner of
Broadway and Terrace Street, just north of where Broadway and Boren intersect.
We are a diverse group with a wide range of backgrounds and experience with Buddhist teachings. We endeavor to practice deep listening and mindful speech as we share insights and discuss questions relative to our lives as gay Buddhists.
We welcome anyone on a spiritual path including curious beginners, seasoned practitioners and those from traditional Buddhist cultures.
Our message board is moderated. By default, replies to messages are sent only to the sender of the original message. Messages from one member to another will not be approved for group distribution. Only messages that are relevant to the entire group will be distributed to the group. We encourage you to post informative and inspirational messages for Gay, Bi, and Trans men who study or practice Buddhism and meditation.
