I suggested that if the NHL wanted to *really* have an impact on
these deliberate injuries, they should make the guilty team play
shorthanded for the duration of the suspension.

instance, the Devils do deserve more consideration for losing
Niedermayer. Any team should under these circumstances. Commissioner
Gary Bettman and policeman Colin Campbell ought to have the power to
punish Toronto beyond Domi. If Niedermayer is lost for this series,
the NHL should have the right to sit a similar talent on the Leafs.
Domi for Niedermayer is a good trade for the Leafs, so why not make
it Domi and Mats Sundin for Niedermayer? If that were the case, do
you believe Leafs coach Pat Quinn would think twice about so
irresponsibly supporting this Hanson brothers act out of
Domi?"
