DO post items with direct relevance to Del Ray residents, businesses, schools, and/or churches. Discussions of what is happening within the community, including events, community meetings, actions by the city, reports of criminal activity, etc are all appropriate.

DO ask for referrals from group members regarding businesses and services available to Del Ray residents; and, do reply accordingly.

DO reply to the group if your reply would be interesting to everyone; if not, consider replying only to the original poster.

DON'T spam. Posting spam is grounds for immediate banning from the group.

DON'T post commercial solicitations, advertisements, WTBs or other similar messages. Please use a site like Craig's List for postings about your personal yard sale or individual items for sale. Use the Alexandria Freecycle Yahoo group for curb alerts and the like.
