Incidents During the Past 24 Hours
Multinational Brigade North
Nothing significant to report.
Multinational Brigade Centre
Road Traffic Accident
Yesterday afternoon in Ulpiana / Gracanica, a KFOR Swedish Battalion
truck was involved in a traffic accident with a civilian vehicle. No
injuries were reported to the occupants of either vehicle. The accident
is under investigation.
Multinational Brigade West
KFOR EOD Assists UNMIK Police
Yesterday morning in Brestovik, UNMIK Police conducted a search
operation. During the search, they found a grenade in a house and
requested assistance from KFOR Task Force Aquila Explosive Ordnance
Disposal experts. The Explosive Ordnance Disposal experts were sent to
the scene and after careful examination safely destroyed the grenade.
Search Operation; Weapon Found
Last night in Kline / Klina, KFOR Task Force Pegasus soldiers and UNMIK
Police conducted a joint search operation. In one of the houses they
found and confiscated a pistol, an NBC mask and five rounds of
ammunition.
Search Operation; Weapon Found
Last night in Sverke / Svrhe, a KFOR Task Force Pegasus patrol conducted
a search operation. Among the illegal items found and confiscated in one
house were one hunting gun, one rifle and 11 rounds of ammunition.
Search Operation; Weapon Found
Last night in Istog / Istok, a KFOR Task Force Tizona patrol conducted a
search operation. Among the illegal items found and confiscated in one
house were two pistols and one AK-47 assault rifle.
Multinational Brigade South
Man Searched; Weapon Found
Early yesterday morning, a KFOR Multinational Brigade East patrol heard
three shots in the village of Hoce e Madhe / Velika Hoca. While
investigating the shots, they spotted a drunken man carrying a rifle and
27 rounds of ammunition. The man, the weapon and the ammunition were
handed over to UNMIK Police.
Car Searched
Last evening in Mleqan / Mlecane, KFOR Multinational Brigade South
soldiers stopped and searched a car at a checkpoint. The driver left the
car and fled the scene. Explosive Ordnance Disposal experts were called
upon to check the car. After careful examination, the Explosive Ordnance
Disposal soldiers determined the car contained no explosive devices. The
soldiers then handed the car over the UNMIK Police for investigation.
Multinational Brigade East
Houses Search
Yesterday morning in Zinti / Zitinje, KFOR Multinational Specialized
Unit soldiers conducted a cordon and search operation. During the
operation, they searched three houses. No illegal items were found in
connection with the search.
Explosions Heard; Minor Damage Found
Late Monday night, KFOR Task Force 2-327 reported two small explosions
in Mogille / Mogila. Early yesterday morning a KFOR Task Force 2-327
patrol, together with UNMIK Police, went to the scene of the explosion
to investigate. At the scene, they found fragments of two grenades.
Additionally, there was some minor damage to a Serbian house that
appeared to have been caused by the blasts.
