Terrorists kill three Americans
January 23, 2001
Belgrade, January 23 - Ethnic Albanian terrorists in the ground
security zone in southern Serbia "brutally killed" three Americans
and released one Russian soldier after mistreating him, the Belgrade
daily "Politika Ekspres" claims citing "well informed sources close
to the US forces command". However, the paper did not say
when this happened.
Ethnic Albanian terrorists in the ground security zone opened fire on the
international forces patrol thus provoking the clash which did not last long
and was registered as an incident without consequences. According to
"Politika Ekspres" this should mean that no one was killed or wounded.
However, ethnic Albanian terrorists managed to capture four KFOR
troops and take them to the ground security zone between the villages of
Breznica and Char where three Americans were brutally killed and one
Russian soldier released after being mistreated, the paper says.
KFOR command imputes the crime to the so-called terrorist group of
Char headed by Muhamed Dzemailj, the paper says, adding that Dzemailj
is in conflict with the Veliki Trnovac clan chief Shefket Jusli and Shacir
Shaciri.
The paper reminds that KFOR command and "our security forces" have
long been aware that ethnic Albanian terrorists are divided into clans
fighting for dominance, although they are officially under the command of
the so-called Liberation Army of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja.
Unlike the Char group, members of ethnic Albanian terrorist formation
from Dobrosin are the most cooperative and devoted to the US forces,
the paper says, adding that the Dobrosin formation has the most extreme
attitude towards the Serb security forces.
