Incidents During the Past 24 Hours
Multinational Brigade North
Traffic Accident
Yesterday morning, a KFOR French light armored vehicle was involved in a
traffic accident with a civilian car in Prilluzhe / Priluzje. There were
no reports of injuries to the occupants of either vehicle. The incident
is under investigation.
Multinational Brigade Centre
Nothing significant to report.
Multinational Brigade West
Car Searched; Weapon Found
Late yesterday morning, a KFOR Task Force Pegasus patrol stopped and
searched a car, driven by a Kosovar Albanian man, at a vehicle
checkpoint in Naglavici. During the search, the patrol found and
confiscated a Zastava pistol, an ammunition magazine, and eight rounds
of ammunition. In connection with the car search, a KFOR Task Force
Pegasus patrol also searched the man's house. During that search, the
patrol found and confiscated 41 rounds of ammunition. The patrol
detained the man, and later handed him and the confiscated material over
to UNMIK Police.
Unexploded Ordnance Found
Early yesterday afternoon, a KFOR Spanish Special Police Unit patrol
found a unexploded ordnance device near the Prusit border crossing
point. KFOR Task Force Falco Explosive Ordnance Disposal experts were
sent to the scene of the discovery and after careful examination
determined that the device was a landmine. The Explosive Ordnance
Disposal troops safely destroyed the mine where it had been found.
Car Searched; Weapon Found
Early yesterday afternoon, a KFOR Task Force Sauro patrol stopped and
searched a car at a vehicle checkpoint near Gllogjan / Glodjane. During
the search, the patrol found and confiscated a Zastava pistol, an
ammunition magazine and one round of ammunition. The patrol handed the
man and the weapons over to UNMIK Police.
Houses Searched; Weapons Found
Yesterday afternoon, a joint KFOR Task Force Pegasus and UNMIK Police
team conducted a search operation in the village of Radulovc /
Radulovac. During the search, which lasted approximately three hours,
illegal weapons were found in three houses. Among the illegal items
found and confiscated were an AK-47 assault rifle, an SKS rifle, a
pistol, an air gun, 99 rounds of ammunition, three ammunition magazines,
and two bayonets.
Man Searched; Pistol Found
Last night, a joint KFOR Task Force Aquila and UNMIK Police patrol
stopped and searched a man in Peja / Pec. The patrol confiscated a
pistol and six rounds of ammunition from the man.

Multinational Brigade East
Car Searched; Weapons Found
Early yesterday morning, in response to information received, a KFOR
793rd Military Police Battalion patrol established a hasty vehicle
checkpoint near Ferizaj / Urosevac. The patrol stopped and searched a
vehicle occupied by four Kosovar Albanian men. During the search, the
patrol found a grenade in the car. The patrol handed the four men over
to UNMIK Police. A KFOR Explosive Ordnance Disposal team removed the
grenade from the vehicle and safely transported it to a holding area in
Camp Bondsteel.

Early yesterday afternoon, a KFOR vehicle was involved in a traffic
accident with a civilian car at Camp Montieth. There were no reports of
injuries to the occupants of either vehicle. The accident is under
investigation.
House Searched; Weapons Found
Last night, a Kosovar Albanian man informed the KFOR Greek 501st
Mechanized Battalion that his dog had been shot by a neighbor. In
response to this report, soldiers from the battalion searched the
neighbor's house in Slivove / Slivovo. During the search, the soldiers
found and confiscated a pistol, an air rifle, two ammunition magazines
and four rounds of ammunition. UNMIK Police detained two people in
connection with the house search.
Grenade Thrown
Last night, an unknown assailant threw a hand grenade in to the yard of
a Kosovo Serb woman's house in Kmetofc / Kmetovce. The woman was hit in
the leg by a rock thrown by the blast, but was otherwise uninjured. The
incident is under investigation.
