KFOR: Terrorists steal money for the school in Kamenica
January 17, 2001
PRISTINA, January 16
(Tanjug-Reuters) - Members of KFOR
in Kosovo and Metohija accused today
ethnic Albanian terrorists of "banditry"
for stealing money intended for the
salaries of primary school teachers in
Kosovska Kamenica in eastern Kosovo
and Metohija.
On Saturday, ethnic Albanian terrorists
in the vicinity of the village of Konculj,
near Bujanovac in the Ground Safety
Zone, stopped a convoy of vehicles moving towards Gnjilane and stole Yugoslav
dinars amounting to 7,500 American dollars.
"This is a shameless act of banditry, revealing their complete disregard of the
law
and the children of Kosovo," Colonel Daniel A. Nolan, a deputy commander of
Kosovo U.S.-led eastern military sector, said.
