Incidents During the Past 24 Hours
Multinational Brigade North
Nothing significant to report.
Multinational Brigade Centre
House Searched; Pistol Found
Yesterday morning, a KFOR Multinational Specialized Unit patrol searched
a house in Prishtina / Pristina. During the search, the patrol found and
confiscated a semi-automatic pistol and seven rounds of ammunition. The
patrol detained one man in connection with the weapon confiscation.
Car Searched; Weapon Found
Shortly before noon yesterday, KFOR Multinational Brigade Center
soldiers stopped and searched a car operated by Kosovar Albanian man at
a vehicle checkpoint in Shtime / Stimlje. During the search, the
soldiers found and confiscated an illegal pistol The soldiers detained
the driver of the car and later handed him over to UNMIK Police.
Grenade Found
Yesterday morning, a local resident found a rifle grenade in Fushe
Kosove / Kosovo Polje. KFOR Norwegian Explosive Ordnance Disposal
experts were sent to the scene of the discovery to investigate. After
careful examination, the Explosive Ordnance Disposal troops safely
destroyed the grenade by controlled explosion.
Car Searched; Weapon Found
Last night, a KFOR Multinational Brigade Centre patrol stopped and
searched a vehicle at a checkpoint in Fushe Kosove / Kosovo Polje.
During the search, the patrol found and confiscated a Zastava pistol.
The patrol handed the driver of the vehicle over to UNMIK Police.
Multinational Brigade West
Weapons Confiscated
Early yesterday evening, a KFOR Task Force Pegasus patrol stopped four
Kosovar Albanian men carrying rifles in the village of Vulljake /
Volujak. The patrol confiscated four hunting rifles and 67 round of
ammunition. The men were handed over to UNMIK Police.
Multinational Brigade South
Traffic Accident
Last night, on the main road between Shtime / Stimlje and Duhel / Dulje,
a KFOR German vehicle was involved in a one-car accident. There were no
reports of injuries to the soldiers riding in the vehicle. The incident
in under investigation.

Media Opportunities
Multinational Brigade Centre: Patrol with Norwegian Battalion
On Thursday, Jan. 18, 2001, the KFOR Norwegian Battalion will conduct a
patrol in Gllogovc / Glogovac which will be open to media
representatives. This is an ideal opportunity to see first hand KFOR
troops as the carry out a part of their peacekeeping mission. The
Norwegian Battalion's C Company will conduct the patrol. Media
representatives desiring to participate in the patrol should contact the
