Tense Serbia area reopens for traffic
BUJANOVAC - A tense area in southern Serbia was reopened to civilian
traffic yesterday, hours after the government and armed ethnic Albanian
rebels agreed to remove their roadblocks. A verbal accord, mediated by
senior NATO officers, was reached overnight, and hours later the first
convoy of about 30 Serb civilians passed through the 3-mile-wide buffer
zone between Kosovo and the rest of Serbia. (AP)
