Incidents During the Past 24 Hours
Multinational Brigade North
Houses Searched
Early yesterday morning, KFOR Multinational Specialized Unit soldiers
searched several houses in Pantine / Pantina. Among the illegal items
found and confiscated were one AK 47 assault rifle, one grenade, one
bayonet, two ammunition magazines and nine rounds of ammunition. The
soldiers detained one man in connection with the search.
Man Searched; Weapon Found
Yesterday morning, KFOR United Arab Emirates soldiers stopped and
searched a man in Prilluzhe / Priluzje. The man was carrying one 6.35mm
pistol and eight rounds of ammunition but did not have a weapon
authorization card. The weapon was confiscated and the man handed over
to UNMIK Police.
Multinational Brigade Centre
Man Searched; Weapon Found
Yesterday afternoon in Orllan / Orlane, a KFOR Multinational Brigade
Centre patrol confiscated a shotgun from a man without a valid weapon
authorisation card. The weapon was handed over to UNMIK Police.
Multinational Brigade West
Traffic Accident
Yesterday afternoon a KFOR German Armored Personnel Carrier was involved
in a traffic accident with a civilian vehicle in Ferizaj / Urosevac. No
injuries were reported. The accident is under investigation.
Car Searched; Weapon Found
Last night, a KFOR Italian Task Force Aquila patrol stopped a car near
Bellopoje / Bellopoje. Among the illegal items found and confiscated in
the search were one 7.62 caliber pistol, three ammunition magazines and
approximately 30 rounds of ammunition. The driver of the car was handed
over to UNMIK Police.
Ordnance Found
Yesterday at noon near Morine / Morina, a KFOR Task Force Falcon patrol
found an unexploded ordnance device. KFOR Explosive Ordnance Disposal
experts were sent to the scene. They carefully deactivated and removed
one anti-personnel fragmentation mine.

Man Detained
Yesterday morning, soldiers from KFOR Task Force 2-6 Infantry Battalion
detained a man walking from Kosovo to Serbia through checkpoint 75. The
Kosovar Albanian man was suspected of being a member of an ethnic
Albanian armed group. The man was transported to Camp Bondsteel where he
is being held pending an investigation.

Yesterday morning, soldiers from KFOR Task Force 2-6 Infantry Battalion
detained a man walking from Serbia to Kosovo through checkpoint 75. The
Kosovar Albanian man was suspected of being a member of an ethnic
Albanian armed group. The man was brought to Camp Bondsteel detention
facility.
