Incidents During the Past 24 Hours
Multinational Brigade North
Barn Fires
Yesterday evening, KFOR Multinational Brigade North was notified of two
barn fires in the village of Baje / Banja. A KFOR patrol was sent to the
scene. As it arrived in Baje / Banja, unknown assailants fired about 10
rounds in the air. The assailants fled in the direction of Runik /
Rudnik. KFOR French firefighters responded to the fires and successfully
kept them from spreading. The fires are under investigation.
Multinational Brigade Centre
Unexploded Ordnance Found
Yesterday morning, a Chinese F1 handgrenade was discovered in Lebane.
The safety pin and the firing arm were not attached to the grenade. KFOR
Explosive Ordnance Disposal experts were sent to the scene and after
careful examination destroyed the grenade on site.
House Searched; Ordnance Found
Last night, a KFOR Finnish Patrol assisted UNMIK Police in searching a
house in the village of Ribare e Madhe / Veliko Ribare. Two ammunition
magazines and 44 rounds of ammunition were found and confiscated. UNMIK
Police arrested the owner of the house.

Multinational Brigade East
Man DetainedYesterday afternoon, soldiers from KFOR Task Force 2-6
Infantry detained a Kosovar Albanian man who tried to bypass checkpoint
65. Because the man was suspected of being a member of an ethnic
Albanian armed group, he was detained and transported to Camp Bondsteel.
