Incidents During the Past 24 Hours
Multinational Brigade North
Weapon Search
Yesterday morning, KFOR Multinational Specialized Unit and UNMIK Police
conducted a joint search operation in the village of Skenderaj / Srbica.
The search operation lasted approximately three hours. During the
search, no illegal weapons were found.
Multinational Brigade Centre
Nothing significant to report.
Multinational Brigade West
Houses Searched; Weapons Found
Late Tuesday afternoon, soldiers from KFOR Task Force Tizona searched
two houses in the village of Lupove / Ljubovo. Among the illegal items
found and confiscated during the search were three Zastava pistols, a
machine-gun, three ammunition magazines, and 77 rounds of ammunition.
Car Searched; Men Arrested
Last night, a KFOR Multinational Brigade West patrol stopped and
searched a suspicious car near the Morine / Morina border crossing
point. During the search, it was discovered that none of the occupants
of the car had any identification documents. The patrol detained the men
and handed them over to UNMIK Police.
House Searched; Weapons Found
Last night, a KFOR Multinational Brigade West patrol searched a house in
the village of Kline / Klina. Among the illegal items found and
confiscated during the search were two AK-47 assault rifles, three
ammunition magazines, 407 rounds of ammunition, 16 hand grenades and
three explosive-detonators. The soldiers detained the owner of the house
and then handed over to UNMIK Police. KFOR Task Force Pegasus Explosive
Ordnance Disposal experts safely removed the grenades.
Weapon Found
Last night, a KFOR Multinational Brigade West patrol found and
confiscated a shotgun and 10 shotgun rounds outside a house in Kline /
Klina. There was no one in the house at the time of the weapon
discovery.
