Operational Reserve Deploys to Multinational Brigade East
KFOR Commander Lt. Gen. Carlo Cabigiosu has deployed a portion of the
KFOR Operational Reserve to the Multinational Brigade East area of
responsibility. Approximately 150 troops from the KFOR 1st Battalion
Princess of Wales' Royal Regiment are taking place in this deployment.
The KFOR Operational Reserve provides the KFOR commander additional
assets and greater flexibility to conduct operations. The aim of this
deployment is to demonstrate that KFOR does not condone Albanian armed
group activities in the Ground Safety Zone. Further, KFOR does not
tolerate any extremist activity based in Kosovo, nor will it allow
Kosovo to be used as a staging area for exporting violence.
