Explosion Destroys House
Yesterday afternoon in Multinational Brigade South, two explosions
destroyed an unoccupied house in the village of Sredske / Sredska. The
two explosions in the abandoned village occurred about 45 minutes apart.
There are no reports of any injuries as a result of the blasts. As a
safety precaution, the main road leading to Sredske / Sredska has been
temporarily closed to traffic. The incident is under investigation.

Explosion Destroys House, Damages Another
Late last night in Multinational Brigade East, an explosion totally
destroyed an unoccupied two-story house in the village of Kllokot /
Klokot. The blast also damaged an adjacent house. There are no reports
of injuries in connection with the blast. KFOR Explosive Ordnance
Disposal troops were sent to the scene of the explosion to investigate.
Upon their arrival, the Explosive Ordnance Disposal troops discovered a
suspicious bag in the rubble of the damaged house. As a safety
precaution, the Explosive Ordnance Disposal troops carried out a
controlled explosion of the suspicious bag, which was later determined
not to contain any additional explosive material. The blast is under
investigation.

Multinational Brigade North
Nothing significant to report.
Multinational Brigade Centre
Weapons Found
Yesterday afternoon, a local area resident told UNMIK Police about some
weapons he had found in a garden in Fushe Kosove / Kosovo Polje. A joint
search team, composed of UNMIK Police and KFOR Norwegian Battalion
soldiers, investigated the report. After a thorough search of the
garden, the team found 50 rounds of small arms ammunition, two grenades
and two AK-47 ammunition magazines. KFOR Norwegian Explosive Ordnance
Disposal experts were called to the scene of the discovery and safely
removed the grenades and ammunition.
Multinational Brigade West
House Searched; Weapon Found
Early yesterday afternoon, a KFOR Task Force Pegasus patrol spotted a
man carrying a weapon inside his house in Kline / Klina. The patrol
conducted an immediate search of the house. During the search, the
soldiers found and confiscated an illegal shotgun.
Grenade Found
Late yesterday afternoon, two local residents informed a KFOR Task Force
Falcon patrol about a rocket-propelled grenade round they had found near
the village of Ponoshec / Ponosevac. KFOR Explosive Ordnance Disposal
experts were sent to the scene of the discovery and after careful
examination destroyed the grenade where they found it.
Car Searched; Weapon Found
Last night, a KFOR Multinational Brigade West Military Police patrol
stopped and searched a car at a checkpoint southwest of Vitomirice /
Vitomirica. During the search, the soldiers found and confiscated a
Zastava pistol and seven rounds of ammunition.
Multinational Brigade South
Car Searched; Weapons Found
Last night, a KFOR Multinational Brigade South Military Police patrol
stopped and searched a car at a checkpoint in Prizren. During the
search, the soldiers found and confiscated a pistol. Because the
occupant of the vehicle did not have a weapons authorization card nor
any identification documents, the soldiers handed him over to UNMIK
Police for questioning.
Car Searched; Weapons Found
Last night, KFOR Task Force Suhareke / Suva Reka soldiers stopped and
searched a car at a checkpoint near Suhareke / Suva Reka. During the
search, the soldiers found and confiscated a pistol, 10 rounds of
ammunition and a knife. Additionally, three of the four vehicle
occupants could not produce any identification documents. The soldiers
handed the four vehicle occupants over to UNMIK Police for questioning.

COMKFOR Press Conference
On Monday, Dec. 18, 2000 at 11:30 a. m., KFOR Commander Lt. Gen. Carlo
Cabigiosu will his monthly press conference in the UNMIK Government
Building in Prishtina / Pristina. Members of the media are cordially

Band Concert
On Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2000, at 7:00 p.m., the Allied Forces Southern
Europe band will perform in the Prishtina / Pristina National Theatre.
The Naples, Italy based band will present a one-hour rock and roll
concert. KFOR Commander Lt. Gen. Carlo Cabigiosu will attend the
concert. Members of the media are cordially invited to attend this
