Incidents During the Past 24 Hours
Multinational Brigade North
Nothing Significant to Report.
Multinational Brigade Centre
Truck searched; Weapons and Uniforms Found
Yesterday afternoon, KFOR Norwegian Battalion soldiers, stopped and
searched a truck on Route Dog near Llapushnik / Lapusnik. During the
search of the vehicle, the soldiers found one RPG-7, 1000 rounds of
7.62-mm ammunition, 20 mortar rounds, 20 anti personnel mines and a
quantity of UCPMB uniforms. The illegal items were confiscated and the
driver handed over to UNMIK Police.
Multinational Brigade West
Smugglers Detained
Yesterday afternoon, A KFOR Task Force Aquila patrol detained two Kosovo
Albanian men on a path near the Kulina pass. The soldiers had observed
the men unloading several boxes of cigarettes from a car. The men and
the contraband cigarettes were handed over to UNMIK Police.
Handgrenade Found
Yesterday evening, local children told a KFOR Task Force Tizona patrol
that they had found a handgrenade inside the ruins of a house in the
Serbian district of Istog / Istok. KFOR Explosive Ordnance Disposal
experts were sent to the location and safely removed the grenade.
Car Searched; Weapons Found
Early this morning, a KFOR Task Force Sauro patrol stopped and searched
a grey Opel Corsa at a checkpoint in Junik. During the search of the
vehicle, the soldiers found a pistol, ammunition magazine and eight
rounds of ammunition. The driver of the vehicle was detained and handed
over to UNMIK Police.
Multinational Brigade South
Vehicle Accident
Yesterday morning on Route Lion, 10 Kilometres southwest of Shterpce /
Strpce. Two KFOR German vehicles were involved in a traffic accident. No
civilian vehicles were involved. No soldiers were injured in the
collision. The accident is under investigation but initial reports
indicate that the collision occurred as a result of icy road conditions.

Media Opportunity
Press Conference
Today, Lord Robertson NATO Secretary General and General Ralston,
Supreme Allied Commander Europe will visit Prishtina / Pristina. A press
conference will be held in the UNMIK building between 12:15 p.m. and 1
p.m.
MNB South: Transfer of Authority
On Thursday, December 7th 2000, at 10:00 hrs, the Commander KFOR,
Lieutenant General Carlo Cabigiosu, and the Deputy Commander, German
Army Forces Command, Major General Dieter Henninger, will pass the
command of Multinational Brigade South from Brigadier General Fritz von
Korff to Brigadier General Wolf-Dieter Langheld. The change of command
will take place in the presence of guests at Camp Progress in PRIZREN.
Press representatives are cordially invited to attend this event.
There will be a helicopter shuttle to Prizren. Journalists are invited
to sign up for the helicopter shuttle on a list posted on the
information board (next to the Media Ops office) beginning Thursday,
