PRISTINA, Yugoslavia, Nov 29 (AFP) - A bomb disposal team
carried out a controlled explosion on a car containing a suspect
package in the courtyard of the headquarters of Kosovo's UN mission
in Pristina on Wednesday.
British peacekeepers at the scene told AFP that the explosion
had been carried out after a suspect device was spotted in the
wheel-arch of a vehicle in the building's central courtyard.
The device was discovered at around 5:00 am (04h00 GMT) and the
explosion carried out at 10:00 am, an AFP reporter at the scene
said.
There was no initial confirmation that a bomb was inside the
car.
