Extension to Cease-Fire in the Presevo Valley
The cease-fire between FRY and the UCPMB, facilitated by KFOR, has been
extended indefinitely. KFOR encourages both parties to continue the
progress they have made to achieve a peaceful solution to the complex
situation in the Presevo valley.

Incidents During the Past 24 Hours
Multinational Brigade North
Nothing Significant to Report.
Multinational Brigade Centre
Unexploded Ordnance Found
Yesterday morning, Multinational Brigade Centre reported that one anti
personnel mine had been found west of Shtime / Stimlje. KFOR Explosive
Ordnance Disposal experts were sent to the location and destroyed the
mine at the site of the find.
KFOR Assists UNMIK Police in Investigation
Yesterday afternoon, KFOR Norwegian Battalion soldiers supported UNMIK
Police in conducting a search operation in Gllogove / Glogovac. During
the operation, UNMIK Police arrested a Kosovo Albanian male for illegal
possession of a pistol.
Car Searched; WAC and Weapon Confiscated
Early yesterday morning, KFOR Multinational Brigade Centre soldiers
stopped and searched a civilian car at a checkpoint Northeast of
Prishtina / Pristina. During the search of the vehicle, the soldiers
found a pistol and 14 rounds of ammunition. When asked to produce a
Weapons Authorisation Card the driver at first refused and acted
suspiciously. The WAC, weapon and ammunition were confiscated, the
driver of the vehicle was handed over to the UNMIK Police.
Multinational Brigade West
Car Searched; Weapon Found
Yesterday evening, a KFOR Task Force Sauro patrol stopped and searched a
white Opel Kadet at a checkpoint in Decane / Decani. During the search,
the soldiers found a Zastava pistol and four rounds of ammunition. The
soldiers confiscated the illegal items and handed one of the two
occupants of the vehicle over to UNMIK Police.

Multinational Brigade East
Search Operation
Early yesterday morning, KFOR Task Force 1-36 Infantry conducted a
cordon and search operation of homes of UCPMB members in Pogragje /
Pogradje. During the search operation one Kosovo Albanian male was
detained for possession of an illegal pistol and two loaded ammunition
magazines.

Media Opportunity
Press Conference
On Thursday, 30 Nov 2000, Lord Robertson NATO Secretary General and
General Ralston, Supreme Allied Commander Europe will visit Prishtina /
Pristina. A press conference will be held in the UNMIK building between
12:15 p.m. and 1 p.m. At 2 p.m. the SECGEN and SACEUR will proceed to
the Osnova Skola in Prishtina / Pristina to attend a Mine Awareness
Programme class.
The press is cordially invited to attend both events. Transport will
depart at 1:30 p.m. from the Press Information Centre for the Osnova
Skola. Interested journalists are requested to sign up for this event
with the Media Operations Section no later than 12:00 on Wednesday, 29
