PRISTINA, Nov 25 (AFP) - A US soldier from NATO's international
peacekeeping force in Kosovo died in an accident, KFOR said in a
statement Saturday.
"A US KFOR service member died yesterday from injuries sustained
while performing an operation in Multinational Brigade East," the
part of Kosovo under control of the Americans.
"The death was not a result of hostile action," the statement
said.
"It is an accident. It is related to his daily duties," Sergeant
Pat McGuire, a KFOR spokesperson said.
US forces are in charge of the buffer zone between Kosovo and
Serbia, the same area where violent confrontations between
separatist Albanians and Serbian police have taken place in recent
days.
