BERN, Oct 24 (AFP) - Switzerland will pull its troops out off
Kosovo at the end of 2001, a year later than originally planned,
Swiss President Adolf Ogi said Tuesday.
The Swiss government was expected to approve the extension to
the mission on Wednesday, he added.
Ogi, also Switzerland's defence minister, made the announcement
during a work visit here by Austrian Defence Minister Herbert
Schreibner, at which they discussed cooperation between Swiss and
Austrian troops in Kosovo.
Since last year, Swiss troops have been cooperating with an
Austrian contingent of KFOR peacekeeping forces on construction,
maintenance and water supply tasks.
