I worked for many years as an EMT. I have hearing loss bilaterally. I wear
hearing aids. I used a cardiology stethoscope to hear BP,lung sounds and the
rest. They do have an amplified stethoscope made for people with hearing loss
but its expensive. I couldn't afford the thing. One thing that I always did was
tell the people I worked with that I had hearing loss. I then told them to
always make sure I gave them a verbal answer to any question they asked me so no
miscommunitcation would happen. Sure I had people that didn't want to work with
me but that was their loss not mine. I had many good partners.

other nurses or people in the medical profession with the same problems. Please
feel free to email me. I have lots of questions. Vocational Rehab near my town
is supplying my hearing aids and stethoscopes, etc to help me continue to work.
Looking for some specific devices. Looking forward to hearing from you.
