Description

Welcome to the District of Columbia Genealogy Project! This group promotes the discussion of genealogy research in Washington, DC. Anyone tracing families in the nation's capital is welcome to join.

The DC Genealogy Project is sponsored by the historic Woodlawn Cemetery. Our goal is to get DC residents, and all interested others, involved in learning about the history of Washington, DC as well as the people who helped shape it! This online community is a great place to post surname requests, receive or provide advice/suggestions for research, share genealogical/historical events, and more!
