This group is for detailed discussion of model railroad DCC technology, including standards (existing and proposed), interoperation, equipment design, etc.   Examples of suitable topics include proposed updates to NMRA Standards and Recommended Practices; results from testing various DCC technologies; discussion leading to recommendations on layout features such as wiring, block structure or power; etc. Links to background information on these and similar topics can be found in the bookmarks section.

This is not an advocacy or support group for any specific equipment vendor; please move those discussions elsewhere. Links to vendor-specific mailing lists are available in the bookmarks section. The list owner will intervene rapidly if a thread becomes focused on the comparative merits of specific products, reduces to a flamewar, or is otherwise not on topic.
