Welcome to our Dragon*Con parade discussion group!
The 2009 parade is now history. And what history we made! With around 2600 members in glorious costumes and nearly 50 themed vehicles, Peachtree Street came alive with all things Dragon*Con. Remember to post links to your 2009 photos and vids.
Get your plans in gear for 2010 now, it's going to be epic.
We welcome groups, large and small, as well as individuals wearing costumes representing the wide variety of interests found at Dragon*Con. We invite you to sing, perform, role play, interact with each other and your audience, pass out candy or other goodies to the onlookers along the parade route. Banners, flags, streamers, floats, decorated vehicles, music and other noisemakers are allowed and encouraged. Show off your alter ego! Be creative! Have fun!
Pre-con registration for the parade begins in March 2010. To sign-up, use the handy database form, launching here in the group in March, or send me an email at dc_parade(at)dragoncon(dot)org.
You must be a member of Dragon*Con by parade day in order to march with us.
Dragon*Con is America's largest, multi-media, popular arts convention —focusing on science fiction and fantasy, gaming, comics, literature, art, music, and film - and held annually over Labor Day Weekend in Atlanta, Georgia. You'll find more information about Dragon*Con at http://www.dragoncon.org.
