Welcome to our Dragon*Con parade discussion group!
The 2008 parade was a blast and we'll start planning for 2009 in January! Our 8th Annual Dragon*Con parade is scheduled for Saturday, September 5, 2009 at 10:00AM in downtown Atlanta, GA.
We welcome groups, large and small, as well as individuals wearing costumes representing the wide variety of interests found at Dragon*Con. We invite you to sing, perform, role play, interact with each other and your audience, pass out candy or other goodies to the onlookers along the parade route. Banners, flags, streamers, floats, decorated vehicles, music and other noisemakers are allowed and encouraged. Show off your alter ego! Be creative! Have fun!
You must be a member of Dragon*Con by parade day in order to march with us.
Pre-con parade registration is strongly recommended. It's quick and easy, just click the "Database" link to the left in the nav bar and chose the 2009 record to sign-up. If you have questions, post a message in the group or contact us at dc_parade at dragoncon dot org.
Come on in and explore our group. Check in often for updates and interesting parade tidbits. You'll find a lot of great people, information, ideas and discussions about the parade, pictures, and search for contact information for kindred spirits and groups.
