The Daytona Beach Amateur Radio Association began in 1957 and was formally incorporated in 1959 to give Amateur Radio Operators and those interested in Ham Radio a place to meet and learn. DBARA membership is open to anyone with an interest in Amateur Radio. You don't need to be a licensed ham to join. DBARA is affiliated with the American Radio Relay League, the National Association of Amateur Radio. As an ARRL Special Service Club, DBARA supports all types of operating activities as well as promoting new ham education, Emergency Services and Fellowship.
DBARA Meetings take place on the 3rd Monday of every month except in December at 7:30 PM at the First Presbyterian Church, 620 S. Grandview Avenue on the Daytona Beachside. Talk-in is available on the club's 147.150 MHz (+600/No tone) Repeater.
The DBARA YahooGroup provided DBARA members with an open forum for discussion of club matters and topics related to all types of Amateur Radio Operation.
This group is open to all DBARA Members and others who have an interest in the club and Amateur Radio in general.
