The Directors of Animal Welfare (DAWs) are individuals in Los Angeles County who have been appointed to represent the interests of nonhuman animals in their communities. They work jointly with local councilmembers and with other DAWs to effect positive change for animals via the political system.

This Yahoo List has been established to make announcements and to share resources, ideas and tools. It is open to all DAWs, as well as non-DAWs who support the DAW program.
