It is like the old riddle from Texas: "How many times does an Aggie
laugh at a joke?"
Answer: Three. The first time when he hears it, the second when it is
explained to him and the third time when he gets it.
Eventually, we all will get it. Seeing God. Maybe it is like a joke
and there will be great mirth and joy at it when it is finally
comprehended.
Questions: Where is Zion? Where is heaven? Answer: Nowhere.
Or rather "now" "here". Yes, it is a place.... the only place. Yet it
is nowhere.
Who is God? How can I see Him? The answer is that we see him all
the time. It is not a question of seeing him, but a question of
recognizing Him.
So many folks strive hard to see Jesus. They think that is their
ultimate goal. But, a Christ is often needed to lead you there.
Mostly, an appearance of Jesus to us would be harmful in helping us to
see (recognize) the (unseen) God. There is a great key in the last
chapter of the Bible. John bows down to the angel and wants to worship
Him. The angel tells John that this thing he does is wrong because the
angel is his "fellow servant".
And the Angel is none other than Christ himself!
Read it and see.
How long till we "get it"?
Everyone eventually will.
Man can realize who is God in this life. Nowhere. But, many will
search long and hard until they know the place that is called nowhere.
And then realize what it means.
Wise words from TS Elliot:
"We will not cease from exploring
and the end of all of our exploring
will be to arrive back where we started
and see the place for the first time."
