Once in awhile each of us runs into an interesting bit of news or information that we wish to share.  I have bumped into a piece of information from our Messianic Judiasm friends that I find intriquing.  According to their "times & seasons," April 6th, 2,001 begins the 7th millennium.  I find that intriquing.  Lynn

Introduction to the Astronomically and
Agriculturally Corrected Biblical Hebrew Calenda

There is little dispute among Jewish scholarship that there is an error in the modern Jewish calendar: many years are missing from the calendar.  Noted chronologist Rabbi Shimon Schwab believed that there exists a chronological gap of at least 165 missing years.  Schwab suggested that this gap was imposed as an interpreted mandate from the scroll of Daniel to "seal up the word and close the book."  He speculated that Daniel had the authority to expunge certain historical events from his writings, and the sages may have assumed that same right as they eliminated critical chronological information under the premise of "sealing up the book."  In Pesachim 62b, we learn of a Book of Genealogies, which contained a wealth of genealogical information up to the time of Ezra, the main author.  The Talmud, without explanation, informs us that the Book of Genealogies was hidden.  Rashi commented that since the day the book was hidden, "The strength of the wise has been weakened and the light of their eyes dimmed".  The Seder Olam is the rabbinic source that concluded that creation occurred 5,960 years ago in the month Elul.  But astronomical proofs for that year confirm that Tishri 1 is a Monday, and that creation could not have begun on a Sunday that year.  Calculations in the Seder Olam have been proven inaccurate.  So, what time is it?

There is little dispute among Christian scholarship that creation week was around the year 4000 BCE.  And though the traditional year of Yahshua's (Jesus) birth is rightfully contested, none would debate that about 2000 more years have lapsed since then.  However, God's reckoning of time has been erased from modern man's cognizance; the world is fast asleep, not recognizing that 4000 + 2000 = 6000.  We are quickly approaching the year 6001, which is the beginning of the 7th (Sabbath) Millennium, the Day or Millennium of the LORD.  If both the new moon sighting and the barley harvest in the land of Israel confirm our projections, April 5, 2000 at sundown in Jerusalem, the Biblical calendar hits Aviv 1, 6001. The Earth is 6000 years old.  The 7th Millennium - The Day of the LORD begins.

This proof chart pinpoints the moment that year 0001 began on Aviv 1, and synchronizes that day to our familiar Western reckoning to establish the beginning of the 7th Millennium.  This chart, adapted from the upcoming book What Time Is It? by E.W. Faulstich, rejects the common error that creation was in the month Elul, and the first year began Tishri 1.  That was the error that caused me to incorrectly calculate a 241-year discrepancy in the modern Jewish calendar.  That is why I erred in pronouncing September 12, 1999 as Tishri 1, 6001: the beginning of the Day of the LORD.  E.W. Faulstich corrected the Jewish calendar by 240 years and proved that Aviv 1 begins the year. The revised Astronomically and Agriculturally corrected Biblical Hebrew Calendar shifts the head of the year to Aviv (6 months after Tishri), and determines the month Aviv according to the barley crop development in the land of Israel.  In doing so, two erroneous rabbinic traditions and the resultant incorrect calculation for the beginning of the 7th Millennium are left behind.  This six-month shift yields a 240-year correction to the modern Jewish calendar, just as Faulstich had calculated, and adds a full year before the fall Feasts of the LORD begin their fulfillment on Tishri 1: September 30, 2000.  Faulstich's many years of labor are appreciated.

The most recent advances in restoring the ancient Biblical reckoning of time from the Land of Israel have been employed in presenting the revised Countdown to the 7th Millennium calendar and charts detailing The Prophetic Fulfillments of the Feasts of the LORD.  In the spirit of gratitude and cooperation, The International Friends of The Israeli New Moon and Abib Barley Society was formed on Marheshwan 1, 6000.  The purpose of this organization is to support the Israelites who are risking reputations, careers, and limited finances to restore the ancient paths in the land of Israel, and to God's people around the world.
