I have labor. yea.

God has provided for the Power another month.

Although I must labor on the 7th day, I must help my Brother.
His horse has fallen in a ditch, I must help.

This writing is between U & I.

The question was brought. why do I not start a business.

Well most people have the idea that all mechanics are thiefs.
So when I was in business, I was always being taken.
At the time I tried to shoot myself, I had made a list of those friends
I had labored for, & given them credit. So I could keep up with who owed
what. Well after Mount Carmel Burned, My power was turned off. I was
depressed & couldn't concentrate & work. One car I fixed. I forgot to
tighten a bolt. the motor locked up. I fixed it again, & goofed again.
3rd times the charm. But I couldn't risk some ones life by working on
their Car, or truck. So I looked for those who owed me. The list totaled
over $7,000. One friend Every time I fixed his car, he paid me less than
I asked,
We had agreed on a price before I began each time. But on completion, he
would say. this is all I have I pay you the rest on Friday. Friday never
came. He was my friend. So he kept doing that over & over, Until he owed
me over $400.00. Just before the power & phone was turned off, he called
asking if I had a Turntable, he was a DJ. I said I'll give you one of my
2 turntables, & forgive your debt. for $100.00. He screamed I was trying
to RIP HIM OFF. And I was JUST A THIEF, Charging TOO MUCH, and he DIDN'T
OWE ME NOTHING. SCREW YOU. I told him he agreed on the price, before I
began each Job. He said ......SO. that doesn't mean I had to pay it, it
is what I had to do to get you to keep my car going. Now I GOT ME a NEW
TRUCK & I don't need you ANY MORE.

This was a 20 year friend.
I started calling my list. My sh*t list.
Even my sister owed me over $2,000.00.
So I asked her for help. I got a similar response.
I did a thing & she agreed to share the expenses.
But even to this day, she believes me to be a thief
in asking for it.

Every one on my list did this same thing.

A admitted mechanic thief once told me,
You can't be a Christian & a mechanic at the same time,
people know we are thiefs & rip us off every chance they get.

I didn't agree with him. But all the dealers I have worked for (save 1)
expected me to steal. Some would starve me out until I quit, because I
would not lie on paper. I make my money with my tools & labor, & NOT MY
PEN.

Start a business? Been there. Done That!!

JEM I wish I had those friends back. they don't owe me anymore.
But now they hate me. I only asked for what I needed, What they had
agreed to pay. So I'm A Thief.

4 years ago a friend had 2 trucks, one he had just wrecked, & one with a
bad motor.
Well he installed veinal siding. And my building is ugly corrugated
steel. So he agreed to install the siding on the front of my building in
exchange for swamping the parts from one truck to the other.

Well that was just what the doctor ordered.
I live in a ruff neighborhood & my building looks so ugly that it costs
me Work. Runs off the new folks. Some call from close buy, asking
directions then never come. Those that do. Do not consider me a shop
owner.

Another guy offered to supply sheet rock for the room I am building
inside my building, For replacing HIS engine. well I'm still waiting for
that sheet rock.
& this was in Jan. this year.

So Why don't I work construction, Well when I do get what it is worth, I
get about $35.00 per hour. I can work 1 day and make an equal to a weeks
pay from a construction job. and have 6 days to work for God.

So what would you do?

I trust God to help me. HE NEVER lets me down.
