The Cultural Arts Access group is an offshoot of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts Leadership Exchange in Arts and Disability (LEAD) project. The group is moderated and membership is limited (see criteria listed below).

The group was established to provide ongoing professional development and education for staff of cultural organizations who have participated in the annual LEAD conference. Members explore questions related to issues in cultural accessibility in a safe and supportive environment, learn practical methods for implementing accessibility in cultural environments, and share experiences, information, resources, expertise and knowledge with peers and professionals in the field.

Criteria: Membership in this group is limited to paid staff/employees of cultural arts organizations, professional arts and/or cultural service organizations and associations, college or university cultural programs and facilities, and federal, state and local government cultural programs and facilities; individuals who have been invited to participate on a LEAD committee or attend a LEAD conference as speaker, panelist or guest.
