Re: Chef It Up Closing??

Hi,
I was going to offer some advice, & probably still will, but your last posting
has given me pause.

You must be completely burnt out if you have such hostility towards your
customers. Yes, some customers are extremely difficult but things can only
continue to go south if you forget that the only reason for being is the
customer. Without customers, lovely or ugly, you're out of business. Maybe you
need to get away.

Advice
From your original posting, I gather that you need more customers and less
pressure from creditors. (Einstein would be proud of that deduction!}

Marketing Strategy, NO cost. Get what's known in the "biz" as free ink. Contact
your local newspapers with a press release about your business & make it clear
that you are available for a visit & interview. Follow up with a phone call(s).
Contact your local TV stations broadcast & cable. Talk up your business with the
goal of having a piece done on you. Perhaps you could offer to do a small on air
cooking demo. Ditto for radio stations. Local media outlets are often on the
look out for local interest stories. By offering yourself, you're saving them
time & effort. Be enthusiastic if it kills you! BTW You needn't stay local.
Contact regional, state, & national outlets. Free ink is much more valuable than
any paid ad.

Creditor Strategy. Call & warn your creditors that without some relief you might
be forced into bankruptcy. This should get their immediate attention. They can
either work with you & recoup their money or, probably, get nothing if you go
bankrupt. (A tip from a banker relative.)

Keep us posted!
