This website is purposely designed to outline the clans and bloodlines of the Cuaresma Family throughout Philippines and the rest of the world, and to trace their roots for the record, and for the world to know.
I, Ranie Fonseca Cuaresma, the originator of this website, born on January 09, 1970 in Calmay, Manaoag, Pangasinan, is the youngest of the five children of Romeo Tano Cuaresma of Calmay, Manaoag, Pangasinan and Fe Lily Verseles Fonseca of Sto. Tomas, San Fernando, La Union.
My father, Romeo Cuaresma is the son of Mr. Ireneo/Irinio Cuaresma (who must be from Sto. Domingo, Ilocos Sur) and Felomina Tano (who was born in Manaoag, Pangasinan).
My mother, Fe Lily Fonseca is the daughter of Mr. Narciso Fonseca from San Fernando, La Union and Mrs. Segundina Verseles from the same place.
The Cuaresma's are known of their post-Christian era origin because the term "quaresma" signifies "the lent" which employs to denote the "forty days" fast preceding Easter; a tradition that carries the customs and spreads the Christain culture. Due to invasions and trade, the European Christian-people have reached the Americas and Asian shores for new opportunities. They intermarriaged with the indigenous people and propagated their culture centered in Christian's way of living.
Today, most of the Cuaresma's are most widely spreed throughout the Latin America and other Christian communities in Asia. However, their existence is not so obvious, but marked by the everflowing significance of the Christian traditions, that sooner or later, this era of their new offsprings will be recognized of their contributions to the valued Christian culture.
Hence, you are all invited to join Ranie in this web page and trace your ancestors under the "genealogical roots" of the "Cuaresma Family Tree."
