Purpose of InterVarsity:

In response to God's love, grace, and truth:
At Cal. State Los Angeles, the purpose of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA is to establish and advance a witnessing community of students and faculty that follow Jesus as Savior and Lord: Growing in love for God, God's word, God's people of every ethnicity and culture, and God's purposes in the world.

At CSULA, we began a student chapter in the fall quarter of 2000. Five years later, we are a group of 40 to 50 students, known as InterVarsity DEEP. We worship on Tuesday evenings, meeting in the Housing units. We are engaged in sharing the love of Jesus - with words and actions - that others might experience the love of God personally.
