This Carolinian Science and Mathematics Education Alumni Association (CSMEdAA) is a group of professional teachers who graduated from the Science and Mathematics Education Department (SMED, used to be SMEI, an institute) under the College of Education of the University of San Carlos (COEd-USC), Cebu City, Philippines.
This association aims to uplift the quality of Science and Mathematics education in the Philippines and around the globe and to promote and maintain professional development among its members (alumni of SMED).
This association regularly meets once a year in a simple, social and academic ambiance to share and update teaching experiences, best teaching practices, instructional materials and issues pertinent to teaching.
This association is a fast-growing and prolific group since it absorbs automatically the graduates of SMED, as explicitly mentioned in its By-Laws, and its members are initiatively and diligently taking up Masteral studies in large universities in the country. Moreover, some have actively involved in many professional organizations and in conferences/trainings as presentors/speakers/resource persons.
