Subject: [psarcops] PEMA and it response to searches

In the past few days I have seen a few emails go by discussing a recent search in Pennsylvania. I have also seen the story in local papers, and heard it on NPR.  By history great advances have been made in who does SAR and who is trusted, this was how Virginia and West Virginia moved forward.  How were these advances made, by bad and good outcomes in searches occurring in these respective states.

This is the time that the leadership and BOD of PSARC needs to step up.  I don’t know what PEMA is going to do. I would hope that they would look  to the leadership of PSARC, operational teams, and the highly trained and certified individuals in these teams for the answer. I beg the leadership to take an active role this week and contact PEMA. I fear if this is not done PSARC will lose any credibility that we have. Please don’t let PSARC die.

My name is Gordon Hamm.
I am the owner of Spectrum Digital Imaging Ltd of Vancouver B.C.
We are responsible for introducing and distributing OziExplorer GPS Mapping
software in Canada. Myself, Terry Bennett of Quinsam radio and SAR Campbell
River are responsible for introducing OziExplorer to the SAR groups and the RCMP
in B.C.
We have produced in collaboration with Des Newman of OziExplorer, a
vehicle/personnel tracking program called OziFleet. The program is based on
OziExplorer and has many of the features.
The program uses Kenwood and ICOM vhf/uhf radios and the latest version will use
ICOM IDAS radios(digital).
It is presently being used by Whistler, Campbell River, Golden, Vernon, and Kent
Harrison SAR.

Greetings to you all,

MODIS Reprojection Tool Web Interface MRTWeb 2.0 combines familiar capabilities of the USGS Global Visualization Viewer (GloVis) and the downloadable MODIS Reprojection Tool (MRT). The MRTWeb interface organizes GloVis and MRT funtionality into three main tabs: Selection, Process, and Download. Submitted jobs are run with MRT 4.0 processing software across multiple servers at the LP DAAC. Output data sets are staged on a job-specific ftp directory for FREE user download...
