Dear Pagan friends, magicians, Priests & Priestesses,

Wiccan Full Moon Rituals in 2013.

If you have a strong interest in Wicca as a pagan religious path, and like to practise wiccan ritual & full moon magic in an outdoor setting, very much under the building energies of a full moon every month, then this is a great opportunity. These ritual gatherings will be outdoors in quiet parts of woods & parks we choose (mostly in north London). Our aim is to really connect with lunar energies, build trust with each other, and so do deeper magic.

The rituals will have a standard Wiccan form – mainly consecration and creation of sacred space (magic circle, elemental quarters), energy raising, meditative & invocative work with god & goddess, ritual magic and feasting. Our website will show the full ritual, and as we will use the same format each time (with only slight full moon variations), you can learn the fundamentals of practical Wicca quite easily – if you attend regularly. The presence of initiated Wiccans in these rituals will give you additional opportunities to build trust and so converse, discuss and learn more.

Because some of the Full moons coincide with few of the seasonal festivals, there will be 10 full moon rituals in total for this year (2013). Those interested in the seasonal festivals are welcome to attend our non-wiccan seasonal rituals (also in woods & parks).

1. Wiccan Full moon ritual - This Sunday 24th Feb, in the Woods (4pm-7pm) Details below.

These Wicca Full moon Rituals are ideal for committed people interested in Wicca & Witchcraft. Most of these will take place on the evening of a Full moon, or a day on either side (including on a week day!). These will be outdoors in quiet parts of woods & parks we choose. The aim is to really connect with lunar energies, build trust with each other, and so do deeper magic.

24th February Meeting: Cockfosters Tube station. 4pm. (Piccadilly Line tube station, North London).
After meet-up at station, we'll walk to the ritual spot in the nearby woods (Trent Park), set up altar, do a brief run-through of ritual and related roles, and do ritual. Afterwards there will be time for informal socials. Please bring at least one item of food and (biscuits, cakes, bread, fruits) and drinks (coffee in flask, wine, juices).. to share at feast and social.

2. The Thames-Isis ceremony at Richmond by the river - Sunday 3rd March (meeting at Richmond station at 1pm).

We are preparing to explore the mysteries and magic of the Goddess Isis in a series of rituals to be held by the banks of river Thames in London. (Tamesis is an old name of river Thames, and supposedly means `Thames-Isis’).

Saturday 3rd March : Blessing of the Fleet Ceremony (Isidias Navigatum). Ritual outline (tbc): A statue of the Goddess will be carried to the water, where flowers-wreathed women may offer mirrors so that she may see her beauty. Priests will pour milk on the sands from a pitcher shaped like Isis's breast, then sprinkle the statue with precious perfumes. As the final part of the ritual, a small replica boat will be filled with spices and sent (out to sea) as an offering to the Goddess Isis.

Meet at Richmond Rail/ Tube station by 1.00pm. We'll walk up to nearby grounds by the riverside for social & Isis ceremony.

(Advanced info : Wednesday 17th July: Birthday of Isis (Night of the Cradle). and -Saturday 16th November: (Full moon) Quests of Isis: searching, mourning and the finding of Osiris. (This is the `Samhain equivalent. There may also be one on 31st May (Arc of Isis ritual related to the Roman Navigation ceremony). For some of these, we'll be actually hiring boats at Richmond, and go rowing on the river Thames...to make offerings in the river! )

Dear Pagans, Ecologists and Earth lovers..

There’s just 1 day to go before the annual International Earth Day’.. and we have pulled together a variety of useful features to mark this event. And we are organising one or two of our own Gaian Times Earth Day Events – a Family picnic with focus on activities for young children, and then a meditative walk in Richmond park (the following day) – anyone wanting quiet time to tune into the energies of the Earth.

Those serious about caring for our Earth and Environment will tell you.. every day should be Earth Day. But on Earth Day, we can make a big song and dance about it and promote Earth & Eco-Awareness to the others who don’t think so much about the Earth.

To me personally, the focus for Earth Day shifts …more towards the Earth it self. I believe in the Gaia deity of the Earth, and I do what I can through out the year – so for Earth Day nowadays, I think of it as `my mother Earth’s Birthday’! We don’t quite know when it was formed all those billions of years ago, but it does us and Earth well to give her a birthday and celebrate it.

Conway Hall, Red Lion Square, Holborn.

Fee: £5 / £6

8pm start.

Facilitated by Goddess Enchantment.

A modern take on the ancient Roman rite of Floralia, where we honour the beauty and sexuality of all women, throughout their ages and also offer up healing to the animals and crops that have suffered so much with the recent snows. We will call upon the Spring to make itself known in our land.

Please bring a little food & drink to share during the feast after the ritual.
