Crossbow Archery is an eclectic group of friends and cohorts that provides archery instruction and fun for all at the Kansas City Renaissance Festival. Ages and experience levels vary widely in the group and we welcome anyone to join us who loves archery with bow and crossbow and likes to play dress-up during the run of festival (or whenever else you like, we're not gonna judge..) We get together to socialize, shoot archery with traditional longbows or recurve bows, and our namesake crossbows. At the annual KC Renfest, we assist patrons with shooting a bow or crossbow at our target wall and provide whatever instruction we feel might help our guest enjoy archery more. In addition, we provide demonstrations of arrow construction and repair, brief presentations on historical archery equipment and terminology, and we organize and marshal the annual longbow tournament at the KC Renfest.
