Hi,
I think Harrison woodhul Crosby was the brother of my gg grandfather Darius S. Crosby .
Darius was married to Julia Ann Andrews and Harrrison married Julia's Sister Charlotte Agusta
Andrews. Harrison's father was Abiel Crosby(son of Reuben Crosby and Sarah Sears). ............ ....Jean. ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... .......-- - On Wed, 2/15/06, George Crosby <georgecrosby@ sbcglobal. net> wrote:

Mark:
Let me know when you get it. I'll send you the file. It has my line back to John Crosby (1440) and Bing Crosby's (7th cousin). You can delete names unrelated to your line or keep them if you wish.
Regards
George
My most "famous" ancestor is Harrison Woodhull Crosby (22-jun-1814 to 12-jul-1892) , he was the first person to successfully can tomatoes! :-) I've been looking through various geneology sites, but I still can't connect him in with all the other Crosby lines. Does anyone else have him in their family tree? George - I did order Family Tree Maker, thanks. I am waiting (impatiently it seems) for it to arrive Regards, Mark Crosby George Crosby <georgecrosby@ sbcglobal. net> wrote:
I've reviewed information that my father and I have developed covering over 75 years of Crosby and Wyman genealogical research. It fills a 350 page book and lists 2400 names in Family Tree Maker. Probably the most definitive work on descendents of Simon is "Simon Crosby, the Emigrant" by Eleanor Davis Crosby. She spent quite a bit of time in York prior to World War I and translated John Crosby's will from the Latin. He was a yeoman. She claims there is absolutely no relationship to Sir John and that such a statement is merely a wish. Regrettably (or thankfully) there is no nobility in the line that descends from Simon Crosby. I have neither found nor seen any definitive information on ancestors earlier than John Crosby. If anyone has such information I certainly would appreciate it with references. The closest I can come to fame is that Bing was my 7th cousin.
