This is a place where Crestview neighbors, in Austin, Texas, and surrounding neighborhood neighbors (Brentwood, Rosedale, Allandale, Wooten, etc.), can place items up for sale, or notices of garage sales, community fundraisers, services offered, etc. Membership, while moderated to stem the tide of spambots, is open to anyone in these or the surrounding neighborhoods. Just drop a line in your subscription request to let us know you are an actual person and resident of the area.

If it's for rent, for sale, for free or for trade, as long as it's a local neighborhood resident providing said stuff/service, and the group is not abused in such a way as to be a personal free marketing tool, sell, rent, trade, service whatever you like (within the confines of the law, folks, let's be smart). HOWEVER, concert/show/festival tickets posted on this group may only be posted here at face value plus fees or even say rounded up to the next 10 for sake of ease of exchange. Beyond that, it's pretty much scalping and I don't like it.

This is just to be an electronic bulletin board and abusers of such will have their virtual flier torn down and stomped on, same as anywhere else. :) If you aren't sure what constitutes abuse or if you aren't sure if it's an appropriate place for your post, ask me.

While you will not be able to email photos of your items for sale to the group, members may post photos to the yahoo group website, should they want to log in and post them there. You may also certainly post links to your ad elsewhere (like craigslist) that may contain pictures, or links to the photos on your photosharing site.
