Creative Explorers is a homeschool support group serving Madison, WI (and all surrounding communities.) All members are encouraged to plan a variety of fun field trips, parties, group projects and recess opportunities. Families can share ideas & helpful resources. Families can post and view exciting volunteer and community service opportunities. All styles of homeschooling programs(Unschooling, on-line or other curriculum, environmental, religious, core knowledge, active, gifted and special needs, etc.) are welcome to join. Whether you're just curious about homeschooling, have been homeschooling for 20 years or even you're a second generation homeschooler, you are all welcome!!! I am the mother of 4 (ages 4-14) who has been homeschooling my youngest 2 kids for almost 3 years. We want to be sure to have enough social interaction with other families. I have read a lot of literature on the subject of homeschooling but would love any insight experienced families wish to offer. Mostly I want my children to get to know other homeschoolers and know that regular recess time, field trips, parties, projects and other kids like them are a regular part of their homeschooling experience. I am happy to plan activities if families are willing to participate! Help build a network and support group of homeschoolers in the area and to make lasting memories and lifelong friendships! Members of other support groups are always welcome! I have posted information about several other groups in the area.
