Having problems with message search?
Our power just came back on this morning, but I heard this news yesterday. I looked at the electric coop website and it mentioned that it took 15 hours to get trees off of Hwy 19 in the Gladden area.
We lost a couple of trees in our yard, and many more in the woods. Tom says there is a line of them down as if something traveled through there. Also, our little bridge spanning a small creek on our driveway was washed out. He managed to get it winched back into place, but it's rickety and needs much repair. All it all, we were lucky. The storm was ferocious and frightening. I was so busy putting towels down that I didn't have time for cowering -- wind drove water in under our doors and around windows (places that *seemed* safely sealed up before this storm!).
Anyway, I'll try to contact Jeff, now that power is restored.
