This group is maintained by the Christian Peacemaker Team in Colombia to provide subscribers with information about the violence reduction efforts of the team and its associates in response to the violent armed struggle and human rights abuses in Colombia.

Christian Peacemaker Teams is a faith-based pacifist organization that stands with the victims of violence in their struggle for justice and peace.

Through accounts of the team's direct interaction with both the victims and the perpetrators of violence, subscribers will gain new insights into the affects of war and violence on Colombians. Subscribers will also receive descriptions of the violence-reduction work and nonviolent direct actions carried out by the team and by their Colombian associates. Team members will also use this medium to share some of their own experiences, thoughts and reflections.

Occasionally subscribers will be asked to take part in “Urgent Actions” when a mass response is deemed to be the most effective way of preventing, ending, and/or reducing violence and human rights violations.
