There are three places available on Friday November 9th at 2pm for the 'Leading up and Down in Peal' course (Where you are actually ringing the treble to lead the band in raising and lowering the bells.)
On this course you will learn the theory of leading up and down and then this will be followed up by practical work.
Please note that there is a minimum standard of ringing inside to bob minor for this course.
The cost for this course is £5 per person, (payable in advance please) and easy on-line booking is available HERE
Full payment details are given on submitting your on-line registration and also in the automated booking confirmation email.
Three helpers competent at raising and lowering in peal still needed at the
raise and lower in peal course on Saturday November 10th at Radway please?
It will be a 3.30pm start and will last for about one hour.
Please contact me if you are able to assist.

Dear branch secretaries,
I have just received the messages below from Katie Lane, the Guild Children's Officer. Please pass them on to all towers in your respective branches at the earliest opportunity.
Regards,
James.
*Information for all tower correspondents and captains.* ****
Below is a communication from Stephen Barber, the Safeguarding officer for the Diocese of Oxford. If you click on to the link to the Oxford Mail you will see that it refers to a man who has a conviction. ****
This man is a competent ringer and has, from time to time, visited towers in Oxford and elsewhere in the Guild. If he appears at your tower and asks to ring please follow the instructions given by Stephen Barber. If he gains access, by whatever means, under no circumstances leave him alone with anyone and ask someone to contact the police.****
This man should not be confused with other ringers of the same name, one of whom is an unattached member of the EBSB Branch and is tower captain at Egham in Surrey.****
