Saint Mark United Methodist Church Couples Sunday School Class
This group is for members of the Couples Class at St. Mark United Methodist Church, located in midtown Atlanta at the corner of Peachtree and Fifth Streets.
The church mission statement is an excellent summary of who we are: Called and unified by God's grace, we are a grateful and diverse congregation of believers. From our contemporary urban setting strengthened by community, worship and study, we humbly strive to emulate the life of Christ. Sustained and empowered by our Christian faith, we go into the world to make a difference, joyfully serving all of God's creation.
With an over 100 year history of Christian witness, the church continues to open its red doors to members of God’s diverse community. Dubbed the miracle on Peachtree, the church annually sends teams to Honduras and Appalachia, supports programs for the homeless, the elderly, and people living with AIDS/HIV, and provides support for persons with addictions. Additionally, Saint Mark offers a variety of programs for members and visitors including a varied Fine Arts program including music and drama, a children’s and youth program, Bible studies, a program of social activities, and regular church services at 8:45 and 11:15 on Sundays.
The members of the Couples Sunday School class meet at 10:10 and are shining examples of the miracle on Peachtree. This group is our place on the WWW to "cyber-gather" to share news, concerns and prayer requests, inform our members of upcoming events and class topics. By doing so, we hope to unify our class so we are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and are of the household of God.... Ephesians 2:19">
