Counseling in the Chinese World (CCW) is a group for spreading information about consultations and conferences designed for those who provide people care in the Chinese world. As I update this description, we are planning a seventh consultation near ChiangMai, Thailand March 14-19, 2011, and anticipating an eighth consultation in Hong Kong March 12-16, 2012.

This group is an open group, meaning anyone can join. So what is posted here should be suitable for anyone to read. However, the messages are checked by a moderator before posting. We have only two rules:

1) Messages should be on topic--e.g., about these consultations, or something closely related.

2) Information posted should not compromise people's privacy. Like our caregiving, this should be a group where you can feel safe that only what you choose to disclose yourself will be disclosed. (For this reason, you also will not see pictures or reviews of our gatherings posted, since it is difficult to go back and get people's permission after the event.)

While our gatherings provide for extensive networking, mutual encouragement, personal refreshment, and professional development, this list is more limited so that people can get information about the consultations while doing their email chatting elsewhere.
