Description
The Coral Reef Champions Project with the support from the CRC volunteers assists the IFARMCs of Camarines Norte and Sur and the Provinces of Quezon through:
1) establishing links with private organizations, corporations, governmentinstitutions and agencies and individuals;
2) advocating the marine environmental issues and concerns by contributing articles in ISO's annual Daluyan magazine which we distributed to our sponsors and partners;
3) conducting environmental education to the community members and local youth in ISO program areas, and students in Manila;
4) assisting in the conduct of fundraising events.
We need your support to sustain our marine environment.
We are the winners! We are the CORAL REEF CHAMPIONS!

FORUM FOR THIS WEEK:
LOVE AFFAIR WITH NATURE
Mayor Edward Hagedorn of Puerto Princesa city, Palawan province officiates the mass wedding of a hundred Filipino couples at sunrise in a unique ceremony to celebrate Valentine's Day in south-western Philippines. The mayor, an environmentalist, has urge would-be couples to plant a tree or mangrove propagules before they can be married. More than 3,000 volunteers joined the newly-weds in massive mangrove-planting activity.
On the southwestern island of Palawan, famous for its pristine white-sand beaches, 100 Filipino couples waded through shallow waters to plant mangrove trees before tying the knot in a mass Valentine's Day wedding.
“This is part of our showing our care for nature. That is why we dubbed it as a love affair with nature,” Puerto Princesa Mayor Edward Hagedorn said.
