This group has been formed to work hand in hand with the Harrington Historical society. Harrington is a wonderful old harbor town on the West Cumbrian coast overlooking the Solway Firth. The Lake District is right in our back yard as Keswick for example is 20 miles away.
The village has had a diverse history from farming to iron and steel to shipbuilding, rope and magnesite and back to recreation, power windmills and farming. We wish to provide members with a place to store pictures old and new, recollections, history and crack, and to just give Harringtonians a place to go
The new picture was taken by David Brown on a visit to the village in January 2007
