Description

Control-line model aviation is a popular hobby worldwide, offering pilots direct contact with a flying aircraft. Pilots compete in aerobatics, combat, Navy Carrier, racing, speed and scale modeling, as well as lots of flying for just plane fun. The members of this forum can help any novice get started. Enjoy the camaraderie of CL flying in this forum as well as on the field.

A banshee has lots of room to shorten the nose acromaster do not. Also the Acromaster is about 275 wing area PDQ clowns are 200 inches should know I race one

... It was nose heavy with NO muffler. The thing to do if you want to use an engine heavier than a baffle piston Fox would be to shorten the nose. The Banshee

most if not all c/l planes come out nose heavy with a muffler well a little lead in the tail fixes everything.

The Akromaster is tiny - as I recall, somewhat over 200 square inches. And heavy. The one I had had a OS .15 III on it, no muffler, and came out nose heavy.

newer o.s .15 are very quiet with plenty of power. The 2 chamber mufflers can be made more quite by putting a piece of a chore boy in it
